Form a group of 4 students and find a short English story or newspaper article. Prepare a few questions on the story or article.
Submit the story or article to Brian two weeks before it is due to be read in class. Brian will correct English errors in the questions, if necessary and post the submission online for the other students to read.
In class, the group will read their submission to the class. In small groups, students will discuss the questions. After ten to fifteen minutes, someone from each group will give their answer to one question to the group.
When other groups supply their material, you should have your own print out and be ready to participate (I think you should print out the paper each week, but the presenting group could do the photocopying for the other students). You do not need to have the questions answered before class, but you should at least use a dictionary for words you do not know - it is okay to ask the presenters or Brian about difficult words or idioms.
In class, when presenting your paper, you should expect to have 25 minutes, although a little less is fine.
